The beginnings of Glassing
The brand Glassing was born on April 2008, when three Italian guys built the Spanish company Mandrilla S.l. They were motivated by the passion and the desire to create something innovative, so they began to produce a fashion concept for sunglasses.
The guys are:

Alessandro Forte, 26 years old, who manages and supervises tout court the brand Glassing;

Stefano Ottone, 25 years old, who deals with technical innovations;

Matteo Maragnano, 25 years old, who handles the brand equity and the brand image of the firm Glassing;
Glassing means funny sunglasses with a moderate price, it is avalaible in different and flashy shade of colour,to satisfy consumers’ tastes. These features, together with a good price and standardized models, distinguish our sunglasses brand from the other competitors.
The overriding goal of our project is to go beyond the concept proper of the sunglasses, in order to propose Glassing as a fashion accessory. You don’t need the sun to wear Glassing, you have to put on our product everytime and everywhere, because it’s always time of Glassing.
Glassing became fashionable in 2008, during the summer season in the Spanish Islands of Formentera and Ibiza. It is also well-known in Italy thanks to a considered distribution in all the best shops and showrooms of the country.
Glassing nowadays
Glassing took part in several fashion fairs 2008-2009 (Pitti Florence, Who’s next Paris), which have made our brand well-known all over the world. By now, both the press and the current fashion are really interested in Glassing.
During this year, Glassing has mainly worked in Milan, where it met Lorenzo Barindelli, Gennaro and Manfredi Moretti.

Lorenzo Barindelli, 46 years old worked for several fashion brands in Italy and abroad which collaborated (for example years 1980 - 1990) for Les Copain’s commercial strategies and distribution network growth. Actually care the distribution and sales of Alberta Ferretti and Philosophy by Alberta Ferretti as well as Dondup, successful brands still widely known today. Moreover Lorenzo cooperate for start up of many successful small brands.

Gennaro, 40 years old, began his carrier at Milan correspondent law and tax firm of PwC network; in this role, Gennaro gained significant legal experience in the private equity, venture capital transactions dealing with prime financial institutions, private equity funds and significant international players.

Manfredi Moretti is responsible for selecting the best showrooms and he deals with product positioning and distribution on Italian and European markets. He is in charge of the organization of parties and advertising events; moreover his role is pivotal for what concerns online marketing and the communication of Glassing image during fashion exhibitions.
Alessandro, Stefano e Matteo have a friendly relationship that goes beyond business ralations. They decide for building a new Italian society with Lorenzo, Gennaro and Manfredi, which will replace the previous Mandrilla S.L. The new society aims at combine the personal expertises of six different people.
The society has been named Lapatty s.r.l. It has its legal and operating offices in Milan. Its commercial purpose is to widen Glassing project all around the world, specifically by placing our sunglasses on American and Asiatic markets.La Patti S.r.l.
